API & Developer Terms

1) License & Keys

We grant a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the APIs/SDKs as documented. You must safeguard API keys, rotate on compromise, and use TLS.

2) Usage Limits & Fair Use

You agree to comply with published rate limits, quotas, and concurrency caps. Don't attempt to circumvent limits. We may throttle or revoke access to protect the Service.

3) Permitted Use; Restrictions

• Build features that create or manage Shortnd links for your users.
• Do not replicate the Service to operate a directly competing link shortener without written consent.
• Do not misuse redirects for malware/phishing/fraud/spam or ban evasion.
• Do not cache/store personal data from event webhooks longer than necessary without a lawful basis.

4) Data & Privacy

Respect user privacy and compliance obligations (GDPR/UK GDPR, U.S. state laws, Kenya DPA). Honor GPC/UOOM signals where applicable. Don't send sensitive data (e.g., PAN, health, biometrics, precise geolocation) in URLs or metadata.

5) Branding & Attribution

Follow our brand guidelines. Don't imply partnership or endorsement without agreement.

6) Monitoring & Audit

We may monitor API usage for quality, security, and compliance. We may request logs or conduct a limited audit under confidentiality to verify compliance.

7) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate API access for violations, legal risk, or service integrity. You may terminate by ceasing use and deleting keys.

8) Changes

We may update or deprecate endpoints with notice. Breaking changes will include reasonable migration windows.

9) Liability & Indemnity

As per the Terms of Service; you will indemnify Shortnd against claims arising from your app's use of the APIs.
