1) Submitting a DMCA Notice
To request removal or disabling of access to allegedly infringing content linked via Shortnd:
- Identify the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (or a representative list).
- Identify the material you claim is infringing (the short link(s) and, if known, destination URL).
- Provide your contact information.
- Include a statement: "I have a good‑faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- Include a statement: "The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
- Sign the notice (physical or electronic).
Send to our Designated Agent:
Email: dmca@shortnd.com • Mail: PO Box 5863-00100 Nairobi, Kenya.
2) Counter‑Notice
If your link was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter‑notice containing:
- Identification of the material and its location before removal (the short link).
- Your contact information.
- A statement: "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located, or if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Shortnd may be found, and I will accept service of process from the person who provided the notice or an agent of such person."
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your signature.
We will forward counter‑notices to the complainant and restore access 10–14 business days after receipt unless the complainant notifies us of court action.
3) Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate in appropriate circumstances users who are repeat infringers.
4) Non‑Copyright IP
Trademark or other IP complaints can be sent to legal@shortnd.com with details and evidence.
5) Abuse of Process
Knowingly submitting false or misleading notices or counter‑notices may result in liability.
